Title – Systems Engineer

Position and Duties: As a Windows/Azure Systems Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Windows-based systems and infrastructure. Your expertise in Windows operating systems, networking, and security will be essential in ensuring our systems run smoothly and securely.

Position Summary and Key Responsibilities
Requirements (20%):
  • Design, deploy, and manage Windows 0365 cloud and server environments.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, security, and availability.
  • Implement and manage Windows Servers, Group Policy, and other Windows-based services (e.g., ADFS, SSO, ADConnect, Certificates, Duo MFA).
Identity and Access Management (20%)
  • Design, implement, and manage identity and access management solutions to ensure secure and efficient access to systems and data.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for user account management, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
  • Monitor and audit access controls to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular access reviews and audits to ensure appropriate access levels are maintained.
Physical Infrastructure Requirements (20%):
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Perform regular system updates.
  • Manage all internal, corporate, and physical server patches.
  • Oversee backup processes and conduct quarterly backup reviews and audits.
  • Maintain and support physical and virtual server infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place.
  • Manage storage solutions and optimize performance.
Collaboration with IT (30%):
  • Work closely with IT team members to develop and implement IT strategies.
  • Lead the Identity & Access Management (I&AM) program in collaboration with Security and IT.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Strategic Initiatives (10%)
  • Take on special projects and assignments that align with business initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of IT solutions to support organizational goals.
  • Work with VP and Networking Manager and other management to evolve the corporate infrastructure.  
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in Windows systems engineering, I&AM or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
  • Proficiency in Intune and Microsoft O365.
  • Skilled in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Route 53).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of Linux.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required):
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or similar certification.
  • Certification in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices.

Pay and Benefits (USA)
  • Expected base salary range $85,000 - $105,000. + . Total starting compensation will be determined based on all lawful criteria, Company policy and best practices.
  • Equity: All employees within the U.S. are eligible to participate in the Stock Option Plan.

  • Holidays: The company observes ten (10) paid holidays per calendar year.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time, regular employees earn 15 days of PTO in the first 12-months of continuous service, and 22 days in subsequent years. Eligible part-time employees earn pro-rated PTO.
